Under 8 and Under 10 Girls & Boys

 “Promoting fun, early development and learning”

The aim of the Academy Training Program gives priority to learning and development as these are the foundations on which later individual performance and teamwork are built. Talented Under 8 and Under 10 Girls & Boys are recruited and invited into the Training Academy by the Academy’s Coaching staff. Any interested players from the City League Under 8 and Under 10 Girls & Boys divisions are welcome to register for this program.

We provide a fun, inclusive environment to address the four key areas of development in children – physical, psychological, social and technical elements.

Basic fun games and exercises are used that are age appropriate to promote younger children’s development. Children will learn effectively and enjoy themselves when the training program they participate in matches their physical, psychological, social and motor skills.

The Coerver Coaching Technical Curriculum based on the Pyramid of Player Development is used to develop ball mastery, passing & receiving, shooting skills.

The program runs 8 to 12 weeks depending on the season. Summer (outdoor) and Winter (indoor) programs are offered. Structured training sessions are one hour long.

The Academy’s Coaching Staff have been carefully selected by the Academy’s Director to ensure we provide the appropriate fun and safe environment to ensure the desired learning and development takes place.
